Student Life

Life as a teenager has plenty of soap opera and angst on its own. Life in a private, co-ed boarding school? Only adds to the drama. But life as a mutant teenager living in a private, co-ed boarding school? Where your biology teacher dons leather and kevlar by night to fight for equality, justice, and a slice of the American pizza pie? It doesn't get any better than this.

Inside of the school, the students usually figure out about the X-Men fairly quickly -- they did, after all, give them their name. While incoming students aren't exactly shown the Blackbird hangar as part of the main tour, they're usually filled in fairly quickly by their peers, and directed to the teachers for a proper explanation. They're also given a healthy education in the importance of being discreet.

Aside from all of that, however, Xavier's really is a school with classes, grades, exams, dorms, and rules. Crushes, pimples, and midnight kitchen raids also included.

Joining

Characters may apply directly into Xavier's with the permission of Staff. Please let Staff know your intentions and talk with them about how your character would have come to the school.

Note that Xavier's School has a long waiting list and is forced to reject many qualified and needy students. In the grid reality, their finances and personnel resources are also somewhat stretched, which makes it necessary to give extra weight to students who can pay their way, students who are in substantial need of the environment and special training the school provides, and students who will be at the school long enough that they will benefit from the help and training the staff can give them. Non-mutants are also accepted into the school using less rigorous standards.
