New to XMM?

X-Men Movieverse

In 1950, mutants were a secret whisper, a rumor scoffed at in polite company and believed only by the superstitous. In 1990, mutants were a scientific reality, skyrocketed into fame by Moira McTaggart and the X-factor. In 2000, mutants were a visible minority and a growing concern for families across the United States. In 2001, mutants were terrorists.

In the wake of a mutant attack on one of the most visible of American icons, America found itself seized with fear. As repairs on the Statue of Liberty were underway and Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants came to public light, politicians worked themselves into a frenzy of mutant-control legislation. Across the nation, more and more teenagers awoke one morning to find that they were something different - something new. Homo superior.

Mutants from around the world flocked to New York while the country struggled to come to grips with a new reality - mutants are real. They are here to stay. And the world will never be the same again.

Welcome to XMM!

We are a real-time, text-based roleplay game based on the first X-Men movie. We opened in 2001, and our on-going story is set in present-day New York. XMM is a thriving community of players who enjoy the 'realistic' feel of the X-Men movieverse and telling stories together. Our emphasis is on plot and character, and we're always looking for others who are interested in playing with us! Please, take a look around, drop us a line on our forum, or connect and have a look at the game. We look forward to seeing you!
